Some of our business insurance solutions that we can arrange for you include:
- Director’s and Officer’s Liability: Protection for the company and the personal wealth of its directors and officers against damages and out-of-court settlements. Also covers legal expenses incurred in defending civil and criminal proceedings.
- Employment Practice Liability: Cover for claims arising from employment related issues such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment, incorrect selection for redundancy and other issues that potentially affect you as an employer.
- Cyber Breach Cover: Specialist cover to protect you from the extreme costs that can arise from cyberattacks, and the financial and reputational damage that goes with them. It is important to be aware that traditional Professional Indemnity and Commercial Combined policies are unlikely to provide cover for cyber risks, so a separate policy is a necessity.
- Goods in Transit: Whilst stock and contents on your premises are covered by material damage insurance, items away from the premises such as stock dispatched to customers will need separate goods in transit cover.
- Contract Works: Cover for work in progress and materials and plant in transit. These policies can be extended as required to comply with the varying JCT conditions and other contracts.
- Engineering Machinery: Cover for damage to hired machinery, sudden damage to owned machinery, machinery in transit and loss of profits in the event of machinery out of service.
- Marine Transit: Imports and exports by air or sea can be insured on a flexible basis which allows for the terms of trade used and shipping volumes.

For nearly thirty years Robert Gerrard have been looking after my insurance requirements and throughout that time I have always been totally satisfied and have told my friends, too! They have looked after insurance on our homes (buildings and contents) and cars. They have always been extremely courteous and helpful in finding me the very best. It is always a joy to have dealings with them, particularly so with Sue Pace and Tim Nurcombe, who are both extremely prompt and patient with our various needs.
We have been subject to a cyber issue this morning and have had to contact the Cyber security company which is the first time we have had to do anything like this (since I have been here at least). So just to say thank you for suggesting the coverage and I was really happy with their response time of approx. 20 mins and the advice that they gave. All seems to be contained now but if you have received any suspicious emails from me or anyone at VMS in the last 24 hours then please delete them.
