Claire Matthews joined Robert Gerrard in 2017, bringing with her a 25 year background in the insurance industry.

With experience spanning both personal and commercial aspects of insurance, Claire is able take care of the entire range of cover requirements for a business, from vehicle fleet and premises through to personnel, directors and officers and liability and indemnity. She’s always made a point of developing long term relationships with her clients so that she’s able to fully understand individual needs, and regularly finds she’s asked to look after their personal cover requirements too.

Having spent a proportion of her career in underwriting, Claire offers the unique advantage of seeing things from both sides. In addition, the strong relationships she’s built up with leading insurance providers over the years puts her in a beneficial position when negotiating favourable rates for her clients.

When she’s not working, Claire enjoys a live music concert, as well as running and cycling when she gets the chance. She’s completed a number of charity runs for Cancer Research, and regularly puts her arts and crafts skills to good use, hand-sewing keepsakes and baking cakes to top up her sponsorship proceeds.
