Ellie Jackson Raises £1,200 for MND Association with Lloyd’s Building Abseil
Ellie Jackson Dip CII, and colleague Lynne Caine, have raised more than £1,200 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association after taking on a 215ft abseil down London’s iconic Lloyd’s Building. Stepping well outside her comfort zone, Ellie joined fundraisers descending one of the City’s most recognisable landmarks to support people living with MND and help fund vital research. Thanks to the generosity of family, friends and colleagues, Ellie exceeded her fundraising target and raised more than £1,200 for the charity. The challenge reflects Robert Gerrard’s ongoing commitment to supporting important causes and making a positive difference within the wider community.
Marcus Hill Achieves Personal Best in Benidorm 10K Charity Run
Marcus Hill Cert CII has completed the Benidorm 10K, recording his fastest time since 2023 while raising money for two important charities. After months of dedicated training, Marcus took on the popular road race in support of The Lift Industry Mental Health Charter and The Brain Tumour Charity. His efforts helped contribute towards an impressive fundraising total of £16,779, supporting initiatives that provide vital mental health services and fund life-changing research. Everyone at Robert Gerrard congratulates Marcus on his achievement and commitment to charitable fundraising.
Charity Bake Sales Raise More Than £3,000 for Worthy Causes
Colleagues at Robert Gerrard have raised more than £3,000 through a series of successful charity bake sales. The events were organised in support of Unique and Macmillan Cancer Support, bringing team members together while raising funds for two fantastic causes.
From homemade cakes and sweet treats to office fundraising activities, colleagues embraced the opportunity to support charities that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
The bake sales demonstrated how even simple workplace initiatives can have a significant impact when everyone gets involved.
Ellie Jackson and Chrissie Hale Take on Wing Walk Challenge for Unique
Robert Gerrard colleagues Ellie Jackson and Chrissie Hale showed incredible courage by completing a wing walk to raise funds for Unique. Standing atop an aircraft during flight, the pair took on one of the team’s most daring fundraising challenges to support the charity and its work helping families affected by rare chromosome and gene disorders. Together, Ellie and Chrissie raised an impressive £1,500 through sponsorship from colleagues, friends and family. Their achievement highlights the passion, determination and community spirit that underpin Robert Gerrard’s fundraising efforts.
Crostyx Hockey Club
As sponsors of this Woodford based hockey club it’s a real delight to be involved in its growth. In just three years we’ve seen the junior side of the club boosted from 3 to 100 children aged 4-16 thanks to hard work, investment and promotion. Managing Director Carla Preston has been a member herself for more than 25 years and she’s thrilled with recent achievements, including a semi-final place for the U10 boys’ team in the Essex In2Hockey tournament, something that will feature as a first in the club’s history book.

Anyone who’s visited our offices will probably have met Digby and Penny, Robert Gerrard’s four legged team members. We wanted to do something community-wise as dog lovers, so we support Hillside Kennels in Waltham Abbey, Essex by acting as a drop-off point for people wishing to donate towels, blankets and sheets.

The day was a roaring success, with plenty of visitors lapping up the likes of carrot cake cupcakes, chocolate shortbread, chocolate fudge cake, chocolate brownies, palmiers, Victoria sponge and cheese twists, to name just a few of the many delights our star bakers conjured up. Everyone’s generosity, both on the day with cash donations and via our online donations page, was hugely appreciated.
