We’re all still talking about how Liftex 2025 brought with it so many high points – great conversations, new connections – and the chance for us to say a big thank you to all our Robert Gerrard Lift Plan clients for insuring with us.
But one of the most memorable moments had to be receiving the Professional Services Award at the inaugural WH Scott & Son Group Annual Suppliers Awards – it was a real honour for our team.
WH Scott & Son (Engineers) Limited, along with their fabrication and design division, are well known across the lifting and handling sector. Founded in Belfast in 1897, they’re respected for their hands-on engineering expertise and the wide range of products and services they provide.
During the building of the Great Arrol Gantry in 1908 – used in the construction of a number of notable ships including the Titanic – the company expanded into the supply and inspection of lifting equipment, setting the course for their future direction.
Today, they’re known for their extensive stock of lifting, rigging and material handling products – from electric hoists and chain slings to clamps, blocks and fittings – as well as their testing, installation and maintenance services.
As long-standing Lift Plan clients, they’re a valued partner we’re proud to support.
To be recognised by a client of this calibre for our specialist insurance knowledge, long-term support and commitment to safety means a great deal to the whole RG team. And the luxury hamper was a much appreciated reward!
