Carla Preston has been a core part of the Robert Gerrard team since 1987. In those days, her father ran the business and she’d stop by after school to help out with filing and tea making duties. Ten years on in 1997 she became a director and, in 2019, took to the helm as managing director. Whilst Carla spent many years taking care of the firm’s ever-growing lift industry clientele and developing the now renowned Robert Gerrard Lift Plan®, these days her role has evolved more into steering the growth and development of the business. Very much about the team in work and play, Carla is the glue that binds Team RG, ensuring that everyone consistently delivers the helpful, reliable and honest service that clients have come to appreciate over the years. Away from work, Carla is heavily involved in Woodford-based Crostyx Hockey Club and responsible for coaching one of its junior teams. Herself an avid player and member of the adult ladies league team, she has barely missed a weekend game since the age of 16.
