We had a fantastic time at Liftex 2025, the UK’s only dedicated lift and escalator industry event, held at ExCeL London on 11–12 June. Organised by LEIA who we express huge thanks to for organising such an amazing event, this landmark exhibition is a key date in the Robert Gerrard calendar that we always look forward to – and this year did not disappoint.

Across two buzzing days, we welcomed new faces and familiar friends to our coffee shop-style stand, enjoyed real-time conversations about the future of the lift industry, and proudly celebrated a big moment of recognition for our team.

From industry insights and expert networking to coffee, homemade cake and a few surprises (and mystery gifts!) along the way, Liftex once again proved why it’s such a valuable platform for the sector.

Team Lift Plan – out in force

Our 2025 exhibition team was out in full strength, with Carla Preston, Sarah Scotchmer, Ellie Jackson, Marcus Hill, Luke Weight, Teresa Cronin, Claire Matthews, Annabel Carter, and Josh Porter all representing Robert Gerrard and Team Lift Plan across the two days.

We were also delighted to be joined by our insurer partners Jamie Manser, Underwriter at Chubb Insurance; Mark Allen, Branch Manager at Chubb Insurance, and Marc Brewer and Claire Wilson, Underwriters at HCC International Insurance.

The shared expertise between our in-house team and longstanding partners made for a powerful combination – and gave visitors to our stand direct access to people who really understand both the lift industry and the insurance landscape.

Two days of connection, conversation – and coffee & cake!

From start to finish, there was a real buzz around the RG stand. Whether it was reconnecting with familiar faces or meeting new ones, we were kept busy with meaningful conversations, on-the-spot questions, and plenty of good humour throughout.

We also brought back our popular RG Coffee Shop concept – complete with homemade cake, which got plenty of people talking (and coming back for seconds!). A big thank you to BIAB London for another standout stand design, and Gill Woods Photography for capturing the energy and moments that made the event so memorable.

We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients, many of whom took the time to tell us how much they value the personal support they receive from Team RG.

For our MD Carla Preston, a standout moment was seeing every member of the team fully engaged with clients and clearly enjoying the opportunity to reconnect in person.

It was also a brilliant reminder of why we love meeting up with our clients face to face – to listen to what matters most, understand the challenges they’re facing, and keep building the strong relationships that underpin everything we do. And to say – thank you for insuring with us!

We’re always grateful for the chance to connect in person and hear directly how we can continue to support the lift industry.

A privilege to support the lift industry

As a team, we’re delighted to play a role in an industry that, as Carla so perfectly put it, “quite literally keeps the world moving.”

Supporting lift companies with tailored insurance solutions that prioritise safety, reliability and innovation is more than just a service – it’s something we genuinely value. Being trusted by so many in such a specialist space is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.

Over almost 50 years, we’ve built long-standing relationships with 800+ clients who know we’re in it for the long haul. Whether it’s shaping policies for niche risks, or standing by our clients during complex claims, we’re committed to delivering service that’s personal, proactive and built on deep industry knowledge. And we find it incredibly rewarding.

Thank you – and see you next time – or maybe sooner!

To all the clients, visitors and partners who took time to stop by and say hello – thank you. It was a pleasure to connect with so many familiar and new faces over two amazing days at Liftex 2025.

The team is now back to work and busy following up on the conversations started at the show. If we didn’t get the chance to speak with you, we’d still love to connect – visit our Lift Plan page or drop us a message to find out more about how we can support your business.

Liftex may only come around every three years, but our commitment to the lift industry never takes a break. Until next time!
