December 10, 2025
As we look ahead to 2026, it feels like the perfect moment to reflect on a year that’s been full of progress, partnership and possibility.
From reconnecting with familiar faces at industry events, to supporting important initiatives like the Lift Industry Mental Health Charter, 2025 has reminded us just how strong and close-knit the insurance sector is.
It’s also been a year of growth for Team RG. We’ve welcomed new colleagues, celebrated impressive professional achievements across the team, added new products, and continued expanding our horizons through events and industry involvement across the UK and Europe.
And with our first full year as part of the Jensten Group now behind us, we’re better equipped than ever to broaden our markets, strengthen our offering and support clients with even greater scale.
So please join us as we look back on the milestones that made 2025 a standout year, and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
Liftex International 2025
Liftex International is always a highlight of our calendar, and 2025 was no exception. Held at ExCeL London, the event brought together lift professionals from across the sector, and our coffee shop-style stand was buzzing from the moment the doors opened.
We loved welcoming both new faces and long-standing clients for conversations, industry insights and, of course, homemade cake.
Joined by partners from Chubb Insurance and HCC International, we spent two lively days exchanging ideas, answering on-the-spot questions and celebrating the strong relationships that make the lift industry such a collaborative community.
The atmosphere around the stand was fantastic, and it was especially rewarding to hear how much our personal support means to the people we work with.

Interlift Nuremberg 2025
A major highlight of this year when our Sales Development Manager, Ellie Jackson, represented Robert Gerrard at Interlift in Nuremberg, one of the world’s most influential events for the global lift industry.
Ellie enjoyed meeting long-standing partners, building new international connections and gathering first-hand insight into the challenges and opportunities emerging across Europe while strengthening our presence within the wider lift community.
Ellie’s time at Interlift also provided valuable perspective on how the European market is evolving. These insights will play an important part in shaping how we support lift businesses going forward, ensuring our advice continues to reflect real-world experience and the needs of a rapidly developing industry.
We’re proud to have been represented like this on the international stage, a meaningful milestone as we continue to expand our knowledge and partnerships across Europe.

British Insurance Association (BIBA) Conference 2025
Another key moment in our 2025 calendar was attending the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) Conference, the UK’s biggest annual gathering for insurance professionals.
With more than 9,500 attendees, 220 exhibitors and a line-up of leading speakers, BIBA is where the industry comes together to share ideas, challenge assumptions and explore what’s ahead.
This year’s theme, “A New Era”, focused on innovation, smarter collaboration and how brokers can continue to meet the evolving needs of their clients.
For us, attending BIBA is about more than catching up with familiar faces. It’s an opportunity to develop our knowledge, strengthen insurer relationships and gain fresh insight that helps us serve our clients even better.

Lift Industry Mental Health Charter Charity Golf Day
One of the most uplifting moments of the year was supporting the Lift Industry Mental Health Charter Charity Golf Day, which brought the sector together to raise vital funds and awareness for mental health.
The event was a fantastic success, with around £5,000 raised thanks to the generosity of players, sponsors and supporters across the industry.
As well as friendly competition on the course, the day created space for meaningful conversations — reminding us how important it is to look out for one another, both in and outside the workplace. The atmosphere was full of positivity, encouragement and community spirit, and we were proud to play a small part in supporting such an important cause.

Lift Industry Charity Dinner
Another highlight of the year was the Lift Industry Charity Dinner, which brought together colleagues and friends from across the sector for an evening of fundraising. The atmosphere was fantastic, and thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, the event raised over £20,000 to support families within the lift industry who are facing difficult times.
The Lift Industry Charity provides essential initial financial support to the families of those working in the UK lift industry who are injured or lose their lives. Funded entirely through fundraising efforts, the charity has donated tens of thousands of pounds to families in need — an extraordinary achievement that reflects the compassion at the heart of our industry.
A big thank you to Paul Masterson and Jools Black for organising such a memorable evening, and to everyone who contributed. Events like this remind us what makes the lift community so special: great people coming together to support one another.

Running for a Cause: Marcus Hill’s Benidorm 10km Fundraiser
One of the standout personal achievements within Team RG this year came from our Lift Plan Senior Account Executive Marcus Hill, who is one of our appointed Mental Health First Aiders and also serves on the Lift Industry Mental Health Charter committee.
In November, after months of training, Marcus completed the Benidorm 10km in an impressive 1:03:54 — his best time since 2023 and a strong improvement on his UK personal best. But the real headline wasn’t the clock; it was the purpose behind the run.
Marcus took on the challenge to raise funds for two charities close to his heart:
- The Lift Industry Mental Health Charter, supporting well-being across the lift sector
- The Brain Tumour Charity, Jensten’s chosen charity of the year
Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, clients, friends and supporters, the combined fundraising total has reached an incredible £16,779 and counting.
Congratulations Marcus! And thank you to everyone who donated or cheered him on. Your support truly makes a difference.

Winners – Professional Services Award 2025
One of the standout moments of 2025 was receiving the Professional Services Award at the inaugural WH Scott & Son Group Annual Suppliers Awards, a recognition that means a great deal to our whole team.
WH Scott & Son Group is widely respected across the lifting and handling sector. As long-standing Lift Plan clients, they’re a valued partner we’re proud to support.
In the words of their CEO Patrick Doyle:
“Marcus Hill and Robert Gerrard know both the lifting industry and insurance. They provide an understanding second to none. They look at the long game, and their advice is always accurate and relevant.”
Being recognised by a client of such calibre — not only for our specialist knowledge but for our long-term support and shared focus on safety — was an honour. And yes, the luxury hamper that came with the award went down very well with the team!

One Year Anniversary with Jensten – a Proud Milestone
This year also marked a significant moment for us: our first full year as part of the Jensten Group. After more than five decades as a family-run business, joining Jensten in July 2024 was a big step. But from day one, it has proved to be the right one.
When we made the decision, we were looking for a partner who would value our specialist expertise, support our ambitions, and protect the long-standing relationships we’ve built across the lift and commercial sectors. As I said at the time, “Jensten was the perfect fit for us…” — and the past 12 months have reinforced exactly why.
The partnership has allowed us to strengthen and expand what we offer clients, with benefits that are already making a real difference. Over the past year we have:
- Expanded access to markets
- Broadened our product range
- Strengthened service delivery with improved operational support
- Enhanced long-term stability and resilience
- Launched our Lift Plan scheme in Ireland, an exciting milestone for the business
Throughout it all, one thing hasn’t changed: our identity. We’ve remained true to the values, relationships and client-first approach that define Robert Gerrard, while gaining the additional support and resources to do even more of what we do best.
It’s been a year of collaboration, progress and possibility, and we’re excited for what the next chapter will bring.

Looking Back with Pride, Looking Ahead with Purpose
As we wrap up an unforgettable 2025, I’m incredibly proud of what our team has achieved and deeply grateful for the trust and support of our clients and partners. It has been a year full of momentum: new relationships, industry recognition, inspiring events, and continued growth.
What stands out most to me is the people behind these milestones. Our team continues to bring energy, expertise and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing for our clients.
Whether they’ve been representing RG on the international stage, achieving professional qualifications, or welcoming new colleagues into the fold, their dedication is what keeps this business moving forward.
As we look to 2026, our focus remains clear: to keep strengthening our service, expanding our reach, deepening our specialist knowledge, and building partnerships that stand the test of time. With the support of the Jensten Group behind us, and a talented team driving us on, we’re entering the New Year with confidence and excitement.
To our clients, partners and colleagues — thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to working with you in 2026 and beyond, and to another year of progress, collaboration and shared success.
